That was awesome fun on the jet ski coming home in 35 minutes
I think that's my best wet lap yet
Now I need a beer to calm down

From a friend who drove back from Robertson earlier: "Tell me about it... Just got back from Robertson. Threwaters flooded the road. Waves were braking over the main road. Never in my life seen something like today"

Jir, I'm close to Sir Lowries Pass and it's bucketing down currently. It sounds like bullets falling on the tin roof

The sand is often on the road in that pic of Theewatersklood Dam. Often that road is closed until they can get a digger in the next day to clear the road. Its been like that for decades.
However, I have never seen water there on the road. Would love to see a different angle of that 1st photo and see the water from the dam breaking over onto the road.

Plenty snow at Mont Rochelle in Franschhoek. I would post a pic but I don't know how to on this thread

The freezing-level is around 1200m this morning, so every mountain of that elevation will have snow. Do you know how far above Franschhoek pass it is?

The temperature at SAEON Dwarsberg is +0.6C, which is just barely above freezing. May fluctuate through the day.

Currently no rain where I am, but expecting showers later, and another cold-front overnight.

Edit: Yeah, Saturday is madness for snow chasing.

Edit: Brief hail too...
