Yeah the security hut looks pretty new. Nice and clean
The snow is very low today, it is usually higher than what you can see there in the photos

It is going to be so busy there this weekend as it is the closest place to snow from Cape Town

R50 entrance, Wild Card does not apply as it is not part of SanParks

I have a friend with a cottage in Betty's Bay. He says some of the fynbos which is recovering from the big fire doesn't like all this water. Some species definitely prefer dry versus wet soil...

Yes very easy, a hiking trail takes you there, lekker beginners hike trail

Ditto. Several massive flashes of lightning and prolonged rumbles of thunder in Kenilworth. The second cold-front is moving in after a relatively quiet day. Cold upper air is causing instability.

Edit: Soon followed by downpour, with hail...

Edit: Small hail, but enough to half-cover the lawn and garage roofs. Never seen that (personally) in 50 years in CT!
