So how much did it rain in CT today?
if only. Had a mild drizzle in Stellenbosch.
The wife was very happy about it, we drove with the sunroof open in the rain. That's one way to get her moist
That's going to cause mould.
Dwarsberg looking good
Any potential for that to find its way into Theewaterskloof?
:crylaugh:
Seems to be Newlands only. Zip zero in Rondebosch.
What about your way? Any rain out of the cloud cover?
Last in Upington in 1986. Emergency SAA landing.I thought you resided up in Upington?
Well, I awoke this morning to a rolling wet mist, that had crept in during the night, off the Southern Atlantic ocean a mere 5km away.... as the day warmed, around 11.... the mist burnt away, a moderate afternoon, not much wind for a change, pockets of warm air floating about, The Moose opened his first beer, then the Gods turned, around 15h00 , they sent the mist back, shrouding the little town of Oranjemund, in mist..wet , damp and grey, a smothering dampness..... as the rest of the African Sub continent dwelled in abnormal heat, we sat, as usual, in the cold wet mist.....]
Ja! ok, no well fine....
Lit the uncovered braai just as the "rain" started, didn't make the slightest bit of difference to the fire ...So how much did it rain in CT today?

Hundreds of kilolitres. December usage was 237 kl.So exactly what location is it with you using tens of thousands of Kl's of water?
Edit : tens of Kl's.
Hundreds of kilolitres. December usage was 237 kl.
I have a garden to maintain.
Runoff depends on soil moisture saturation, and in the middle of summer it tends to be very low. The last significant rain in December produced very disappointing runoff.
BTW, Dwarsberg mountain weather station is a better proxy for direct inflow into the Berg River dam, than Theewaterskloof which includes a large area of low-elevaton marginal-rainfall catchment (except in very wet years).
That's going to cause mould.

How. Oudtshoorn also has water restrictions?
They are on level 3 though.
We stayed in Calitzdorp and saw many farmers irrigating during the day, they aren't on the same dams as us.
