Rain and storm for Cpt

Yip, all those pools of water is from wasting.! ... and this is just one location that I happen to see daily.
 
Still waiting in Bellville. We had maybe 10 drops & I ran around to roll out the gutter pipes to fill the pool, but then… nothing.

What is it with all the houses in CT that have these mysterious holes into which the rainwater is supposed to drain into with pipes leading to nowhere?
Do you know where that underground pipe goes?

I have diverted ALL rainwater into the garden like it is in the transvaal and then the surplus (if there is any) ends up in the street gutter.

No idea why CT houses like this, but I do know where it goes.

All the storm water, or gutters, goes into underground piping around the house, which eventually ends up in the street. This then allow rain water to reach the storm water drains instead of the sewarage drain system. As far as I can guess, 2 different drain systems. Also, we not allowed to send rain water into the sewerage drain.

So I send the water to Jojo tanks, with the overflow going to the storm drain system as it should.

As for the garden, I need a French drain system, my garden gets soaked and become a dam, because I think our area is on a flood plain or something.
 
I have checked the building plans and the street stormwater drains and there is absolutely no sign of a pipe from my property ending up in the stormwater system. So if there isn't a hidden French drain somewhere I don't know about the water from those pipes has only one other place to go.

Be that as it may, nothing disappears into those holes anymore on my property. I am in the process of removing them all anyway. Maybe one day I will come across the outlet of that drainage system, maybe not.
