Rain and storm for Cpt

Not sure if this is weather related, but who else noticed more than usual amount of lizards / gechos in there gardens ?

Everyone in Goodwood seems to notice more than the usual few in the garden

It depends on how creature-friendly your garden is. We welcome lizards and gechos -- they are great at keeping ants, mozzies and other unwanted pests at bay.

Just klapped near Maitland / Pinelands. Lekker. Came in to do some work but now I'm not lus with this weather...going home to chill with a book or something.

Closest I’ve ever been to lightning in Constantia. First time I’ve experienced thunder immediately after lightning. Scary

The weather has changed overnight, with a strong NW wind blowing this morning. This morning I noticed a smoke plume, and see a fire burning on the rear summit of Table Mt (specifically above Window Gorge). This is not a place frequented by humans, so possibly started by lightning yesterday? The fire is burning on the steep slopes above Kirstenbosch, towards dense vegetation unburned for decades, and with the strong wind this fire will be rather tricky to deal with...

The wind is so strong there I can't even smell the smoke from here. Doubt they'll get choppers in the air.
