The rain in Kenilworth started earlier than I expected, and is heavier than I expected. Today looks like a complete washout (as predicted above).

The next 7-10 days will see a series of half a dozen cold fronts, of varying but increasing intensity in wind, rain and cold. Cumulative totals in excess of 100mm are predicted (more over the mountains), with widespread snow starting on Sun 7th. They have an app. Report it. I've reported issues twice and both times they fix it within 48 hours. 1 was a pothole and the other was a blocked sewerage drain on the sidewalk.

He would much rather moan about it here on MyBB, time and time and time and time and time again than actually attempt to do something to get it fixed...

Heavens have opened and it's just barks and meows all over Kuilsriver at the moment.. fear my pool might be overtopping soon..

Lightning and thunder with continuous heavy rain here in Table View. My pool is already overflowing.

Prolonged rumble of thunder in Kenilworth. Was not expecting that. Rain abating somewhat, but we had about 30mm in our gauge between 7am and 10am. Puddles and flooded drains everywhere (in spite of council cleaning).

Meanwhile in the deep OFS platteland, it is a beautiful windless day. From tomorrow, the picture is forecast to change though. Light rain early tomorrow morning, maximum of 9º. Sunday into Monday next week should make for an interesting time with week-old lambs. Rain, night and early morning temps in the minus range with a maximum of 6º on Tuesday morning.

For you Capies, the OFS is that part of South Africa a few kilometres other side the Hottentot Hollands mountains.

Bru. :p

Another disadvantage of a flat metal roof is I can't hear myself think today

Have to keep the Airpods in on noise cancelling mode, works a charm though.
