Bliksem they they going to be damn busy.
Guessing the Western Cape won't be getting any disaster relief

I think we can safely say that was not caused by wind! More likely human factors, and probably not directly related to the weather. Perhaps the bus aquaplaned in a flooded section of road. P.S. Amazing video footage, if it weren't a tragedy.
I think the wind did help it fly a bit as that seems to have traveled quite far.

Anyway the three that passed away.
RIP. And condolences to their families.

No wind involved there.. that driver was speeding and with that mass, momentum is going to carry it a long way...

It was the wind, if the wind was blowing at 140kph towards the back of the bus it will lift it up and the way it was flung when in the air, more likely the wind

If the wind was blowing 140kph, the guy walking back to the bus would be flying and not walking...

no ways that was wind, have you not seen the peoples security cam footage along Jakes Gerwil? That bus was speeding big time, I stay about 5km away from there, I cant recall any wind being that bad over the weekend on this side of the world even though it was hectic, this isnt the Helderberg basin

Is that more rain predicted for this coming Saturday? Sigh, I have a holiday booked, that's if the place is still there after this weekend, waiting for a response form the owner.

Thats the footage I saw, the bus looks to be lifted from the rear from the wind and pushed into a barrel roll

The bus hits the pavement (presumably, I mean unless there was a giant rock in the road) that causes it to catch some air and the momentum from the speeding then continues it into the barrel roll..

There is a little bit of rain predicted for the weekend on YRweather, but not much. All depends if you can reach the booked place and if it's habitable after this past weekend.

Possible, could also be a front left blowout
But in general the wind can also do that to a bus
