A lot of the perceived heat is due to wind and humidity (or lack of either). Tonight will be mostly windless, but the air is currently fairly dry (CT airport is 33C and 11C dew point (RH < 30%). That will change over the next few days, but becoming much more tolerable.

So did you go? The wind this morning on the way to town was a bit kak but died down as the sun came up.

I want to use table mountain cable car tomorrow and it was apparently near the 35km/hr wind speed today which is when they stop the car running. What happens if you are stuck up there due to come down with the cable car and it gets too windy?

Quite right, but definitely tried my best to give it the space that it requires in the situation. Luckily no double storey neighbours.
Happy with the results so far as it doesn't feel too far off.

Below was during the South Easter last night and direction is pretty spot on.
Also included some wind speed Measurements.

An abrupt change in conditions overnight, as a coastal (heat) low develops, and the wind direction swings to NW. I left my balcony door open to get some cool air, and it slammed shut at 2am!? Forecasts show the potential for thundershowers this morning (Thurs 29th) as an upper trough moves down from the interior, though these are likely to be scattered, and slightly inland from CT itself.

The cutoff-low for Mon 4th is still on schedule, though the details are still developing.

Hi Gordon_R thank you. Is this sudden change something to be concerned about? Should we prep something?

No, things came up but planning on going today, will post pics of the view for you plebs :p
But wait is this weather going to cover TM with clouds and obstruct the view?
