Hi @jem,

Please provide us with your email via PM | https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/conversations/add?to=rain_mobile

@McGuywer yes working now but inconsistent like you noted. And when it goes down other video streaming services and sites also go down with it. Zoom seems to be a big one for me with work.

Anyone else having issues with Wikipedia on Rain?

Yup, I'm having the same issue. Cannot access several sites and online services for the past 2 weeks, weird timeout issues. Can't access Wikipedia, cannot access my online gaming libraries including ubisoft connect, rockstar launcher, and steam to name a few.
Tried contacting @rain_networks customer support but they just don't seem to understand the issue or are not willing to resolve it, it's really frustrating.

Same issues here, many sites hang or time out seemingly randomly and sluggish transfer rates when streaming

Have none of these issues when using a VPN though, so I'll just leave that on permanently for the time being

Steam. Nexus . Youtube .wiki discord all time out check firewall. If you wanna block sites ill go somewhere else

Hi @Tumi_047,

Been having packet loss for 2 weeks now roughly.

Just logged a ticket:

Guys, whats happening with international connectivity. I'm ending up needing to use a VPN just to be able to send email with out servers in germany. I ignored it for a while but it's like 2 weeks now.

It's not my connection: https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/d/0051fd7d-7ca6-4c53-a3a4-f43172c0fd7b

It's ultra unreliable and *** dropping packets ***. Local and USA are fine.
If I route through AWS in CT on my VPN it's rock solid, so it is RAINS backbone. Being slow is one thing, but dropping packets is a mess.

It dies afternoon/evenings ... most days.

Direct file downloads don't even work, have to do that early morning - my streaming service won't even mention.

Having the same issue and it is still not resolved.

As I write this, I can't access Wikipedia and Apple Music. It comes and goes throughout the day but whatever the issue is, it seems to be affecting several sites.

Same here, someone mentioned about the DNS, can it be set on the zte 5g router that came with ?

Hi @PsyMon93 please look out for our PM.
I've read your PM but nowhere does it give an update on the problem your customers are experiencing...

Customers don't like being kept in the dark when there is an issue. But they tend to be forgiving if they are kept up to date about what is being done to resolve the issue and an expected timeframe.

At this point I'm seriously considering having fibre installed and ditching Rain because your support is so opaque.
