I have tried to cancel my rain 5g with no luck,no feedback on any tickets logged.No feedback on any online platform.No contact centre.This is the worst service recieved from any company.
 
This is why I’m concerned about trying out their 7 day free trial since you need to pay upfront.

The upfront payment would only be applicable to plans that are added onto sim ordered through Takealot or CLICKS. It also applies to the 24/7 Unlimited and both 5G plans as well.

Through our website, you'll be able to order a sim that you could either put on a Pay As You Use plan which is at R50 a gig and can be managed by you on your dashboard. This may be a better option to test as it does not have the speed or time limitations that the other plans do. The only downside from your intention would be the absence of the 7 free data days. Your bill would then be dependent on what you have used out of the allocation on your dashboard as opposed to an upfront payment.

Hi, I am trying to cancel my Rain LTE sim. I ordered it 2 weeks ago and opened it on Saturday, the line speeds are 0.2Mbps and doesn't have a connection most of the day at all. I could not find the cancellation link online ( they seem to hide it) I also sent a request online for them to cancel as well as on hellopeter, their call centre is closed. I wish to have a full refund as soon as possible. It is probably the worst service I have received, If I am honest, the dial up connection I had 25 years ago was quicker than this "5G". Please assist.

That is, unfortunately, not the only downside.

If customers cannot submit cancellations successfully, and therefore cannot timeously obtain the refunds due to them -- or prevent further billing cycle debits from occurring -- then the whole debacle started out as false advertising and ended up as entrapment.

I agree, I am afraid of getting charged again unnecessarily due to no way of cancellation. I literally installed the internet, ran a few speed test, tried the router around all places in the house to get a connection and now put it off and packed it away. All I want is to cancel as soon as possible.

Hi, just an update. RAIN, has asked me to PM them. I have done so and they STILL HAVE NOT CANCELLED OR REFUNDED ME. Can the rain representatives respond to this? I think we need to get someone to write an article on this as it seems that many people are falling into this trap.

My total downloaded amount was less than 300 megs, ran a couple of speed test, positioned the router all over the house and eventually gave up. Max speed I had was around 2-3Mbps, average speed 0.1 Mbps
 
Hi, please do not act like you care about Customers. I PM'd you requesting a refund and cancellation and nothing has been done still. People need to start seeing that RAIN is refusing to cancel internet that does not work and they keep charging even though I requested this a while back and keep requesting this. I will await your response. I complained on Hellopeter and you said you will get back to me, no one has contacted me.
