Rain Delivery - RAM

How's your experience been with delivery?
My Rain experience has kicked of terrible and I haven't even received my SIM yet.

29 November: Ordered Rain sim
2 December: Delivery attempt 1. Rescheduled my whole day to take delivery. Received nothing so I let it slide. (They saying I wasn't home although i patiently waited)
3 December: Nothing, so I contact RAM and customer service guy says all good, it will be delivered the next day
4 December: delivery attempt 2. Guess what. Rescheduled again everything and nothing. Already getting sick of it so I messaged them on Facebook. RAM tells me that the courier did not have enough time.. so lets get this straight. Twice you say it's out for delivery just to piss me around and say oh you didn't have time
5 December: Nothing
Today: Customer service promised Delivery again but its 3:36pm already so i donno

Dear Rain, please get a different courier company. RAM has just been wasting my time as I need to be home for ID, proof of residence etc.
 
Ram courier is shtitty or rain is not paying them enough. Had a similar issue when I ordered my rain sim.
Lengthy emails, fixed the problem. Never dealt with them again.

Wish i could say the same. This whole week has been a whole issue again due to the fact that you need to take delivery yourself. I've been talking to 5 different support agents, been through their website live chat, customer service call, and Facebook messenger. Oh then they read my messages that I've sent this morning...haven't replied yet. The reason i bought it is because I'm going on holiday very soon and its completely useless if i miss the delivery that should have been here 4 days ago

Try to email the local depot regarding this. Keep rain in cc. My case was a little different though. Driver was a jack@ss, twice he told me he is reaching in 10 mins and then came after 1.5hr when I left home already.

I filled out a form on their site.

They emailed me back, then called to confirm delivery as well as an additional call when they were 5min away (saves them time, as I was waiting for them and the process completed faster).

After all that, it was 3 working days - reasonable I think?

Crazy though that I'm in mid CPT, yet they shipped their SIM from freaken JHB :confused:
 
Update: 6 December, they failed yet again, though this time I'm not blamed on 753184
 
I am sorry to say this but RAM is so unprofessional. I ordered my SIM from Rain on 02 December and received an email notification from RAM on 03 December for delivery but nothing was delivered. After a trail of emails and messages between RAM and I, finally got the SIM on the 10th. I received SMSs for delivery everyday until the 10th. Except for weekends of cause. Their office lines do not work. Their service was just pathetic!
 
Its April of 2021 now and RAM still treats Rain customers like ****. The driver argued with me about my street address saying the people who live here always give fake addresses because we don't have proper streets. (I stay 5 minutes form JHB CBD, just because its government apartments we are less then average according to him) i tried to file a complaint at the headoffice, woman kept sighing put me on hold and then cut the phone line at 17:00 after I've been on hold for half an hour. The next one I called told me I don't know how RAM operates and its not up to the client its up to RAM! I then asked her if they record conversations she says yes,
I ask if I can get a copy to give to Rain she says no, they are unproffesional, obnoxious and rude. Rain please use other couriers, or rather ill even pay a courier to collect whatever I need from you. But RAM! No more, nee dankie, they need to be canceled.
