Rain having network issues?

This thread proves one thing: Saffas believe advertising and don't do any basic research before signing up for a service.

Fo anyone interested, I've had Rain 5g /101 router for over 8 months now while still waiting for fibre.

I positioned the router where it seemed to be picking up a strong signal and it worked well enough, then suddenly it dropped the signal completely after a few weeks. Moving the router to another location resolved that, then exactly same thing happened again after many weeks. All through this time it didn't work too well in peak usage times like the evenings.

I then got a DC UPS and connected the router to that as a power source to make it mobile, moved it all around the house to find a spot that gave the best signal strength (those dB readings on the lcd...google what numbers you need to be aiming for, I've forgotten!!).

I found a spot near the window and mounted it there and it's been working tremendously better and consistently well at all times in the day, for over 2 months now. It's not just the graphic signal level indicator thats important but those dB readings(one of them is signal to noise,I think!)

My internet is once again gone, saying I have an insufficient data balance on my Sim card when I have a 4g uncapped subscription, my account is up to date and nothing is working. Ive had terrible experiences with rain's pathetic support in the past and am now left at a blank. RESTORE THE INTERNET I PAY FOR!!
