Hi DesSmithWish you would assist me . Not going to hold my breath
HI @VeronicaB,Rain has the worst customer service! I've been trying to reach them for days! No support whatsoever. I will be canceling my Rain 1 today. I'm over it! If they can't provide service then don't allow clients to buy it.
Hi @Stof_Dup,The link doesn't work.
Hi @Stof_Dup,UPDATE:
I've been waiting for the last 20+ minutes for a answer from their "24/7" support line, and was told they handle calls till after 5pm...
I did as I was said this evening trying to get the "RSRP" closer to -90, but the best I get is -97.
Nothing explains it for me. I had great internet for more then a year now. Al the sudden I get really bad internet.
Speeds are still around 30 - 40 mbps download and barely 1 mbps upload.
I was told a few days ago that my problem was sent to "Higher technicians" or so and that they will call me back. That hasn't happened.
I'm paying for the 5G internet. They don't come back to you either it seems.
Wondering if it might be a defective router...
Really frustrating.
What I've realized is (Using SpeedTest by Ookla) is that it jumps between different service providers, which makes sense for LTE wifi.
Afrihost is great. My speeds are stable and good.
Other service providers don't have great internet though.
Hi @Stof_DupIt depends.
Sometimes you get 100+ or even 150+ mbps as advertised but that doesn't happen anymore.
I rarely get 100+mbps these days and more a constant 50 - 60mbps or less, even though I pay for their full 5G package.
Upload, it's never been good. If you're lucky you can get 5mbps upload, but it's more like 1 - 2mbps upload constantly. But right now, almost less than that.
You're better of getting fiber that's way more consistent and reliable then Rains LTE.
Recommend Rain for my use? No.
If you're watching YouTube, Netflix, online shopping, some general browsing, it works, yes.
For large downloads, uploading of data, online gaming, video calling, work from home situations. Defiantly no.
Don't connect more then 3+ devices at a time. Then it's really slow. (Watching TV, while PC downloads files and uploading, that sort of thing.)
And like my situation, I've never had problems with Rain but now I do. It's probably been more then a month now that my wifi has been horrible and they just leave you in the dirt. They don't have reliable customer service.
The app seems not to even sent out any reference numbers or so regarding a ticket.
On the phone they rarely answer even after waiting for 20+ minutes for someone to answer. (It's not 24/7 support, call them thru the day. That works better)
They do not call you back when you eventually get in touch with them regarding your problem.
They said they sent my situation to "higher management" or "technicians" and they would call me in 1 - 2 days.
It's been more than a week now. Still nothing. No E-mail, no call back, no communication from them.
I personally would not recommend them anymore unless you just want a general use router or you're on the move. (Don't get the full 5G network since it's highly unstable)
At home though, working with a lot of upload and download of files and such, not great at all.
It's not my area, it's not the weather. It's worked perfectly in heavy rain sessions, and I've been on the same place since I got Rain. It just feels like they just don't care.
Nevermind... It really goes up and down.Hi @Stof_Dup
