Just signed up...5-working days to get the Kit...Johannesburg South within the coverage area..Just cancelled my Telkom LTE as Telkom is useless. Hopefully this is better. Anyone have this service in JHB south? what are the speeds and latency like?

Yep. See iperf test results below:

Was in Rustenburg the weekend and tested there:

Placed an order for a 2nd 50GB Package through Mweb, as they still give the B618 for free.

Also on a side note, Afrihost advertises different speeds for B315(up to 30mbps) and B618(up to 50mbps)...

Received my B315 modem yesterday from Afrihost and did some speed tests. As you will see it is incredibly slow for RAIN LTE. I even placed it as high as possible in the house until I got the best signal (all 3 signal bars lights on) but still terrible. Only time when I get sort of decent speeds is in the middle of the night. This is in Roodepoort Little Falls area. Any advice would be appreciated.

Change your frequency to 2600MHz because it looks like you are on 1800MHz by the looks of it and you stay in a densely populated area so I think it could be congestion.

Thanks Cavedog. Do you know where to do this on the B315 modem setup, can't recall seeing an option to change frequency? And should roaming be on or off?
