Will the RAIN SIM operate in a D-Link DWM-157 USB dongle? Have asked Rain, but received no answer

Old thread, but suddenly relevant to my situation. DWM-157 is 3G. DWM-222 is 4G, and works with Rain, but not with Technicolor TG789vac v2, which Does support 157........ So: Does 157 support Rain?

The DWM-157 doesn't show that it supports 4G/LTE, so I can't imagine that it does, as rain doesn't run on 3G.

Q. Does it work with Rain?

A. No, unfortunately it will not work as the dongle is 3G only, and Rain uses 4G/LTE
