I recently upgraded my Rain contract. While general speeds increased by approximately 30% it brought with it an increase in dropped connections. I'm having to reboot several times a day to stay connected. That said, it's unacceptable and not what I expect from a paid service and I would advise Rain clients to avoid upgrading in the hope of achieving trouble free issues with buffering and dropped connections. Calls to support result in clueless staff going through the preamble of blaming load shedding and router placement. What's most frustrating is my inability to get the problem sorted. I don't need (useless) excuses. I need a solution to the problem which Rain support staff are unable to offer. Please think twice about upgrading in the hope that your connection issues will be sorted.
