Good day, As many of you already know that Rain 5 G despite its growth rate is one of the most unpleasant experiences ever, people that suffer from this companies lies about not throttling should let the public know of theyre bad internet connections, network mostly down or slow speeds, Rain 5G does not offer any support, no feedback, intermittent internet and the so called CEO Willem Roos thinks that his current subscribers are stupid to believe what he tells the media, the connection in most areas are still experiencing the same low upload and download speeds, intermittent connections and no internet at all although I am a premium subscriber of Rain 5G and have praised Rain 5G by letting my friends join this useless network, I am making a stand against this company, I will personally pay my friends that I have let down by promoting rain 5G the fees of new installation costs for vodacom fibre etc as I feel disgusted that this company is low balling theyre clientelle into thinking they can screw around the public with lies, deceit and awfull service, which is non existent...

People should be aware that they will be throttled
The Internet connection is intermittent
Low download speed, sometimes no upload speed
No backup system for when there is load shedding, meaning you will be able to use theyre over populated 4G network at 2.4Ghz, Vodacom tried to assist in theyre over populated towers with the new deal put in place out of good will... Rain will drag Vodacom through the mud with this as they will tell the public that Vodacom has a problem on theyre side, these fools cant be trusted people.

Try to get a quote from a reputable fibre company, the prices may be a bit higher, but you get for what you pay, vodacom offers 100Mb download and upload for R1300 and R910 installation charge, but I can tell you that the 100Mb you get from vodacom is constant, 24/7 uninterupted, unthrottled and super fast with low latency, Not like I pay for Rain 5G 200Mb and can seldomly use it, the upload is horrendous and the whole experience is just awfull.

Willem Roos should maybe retire, get MTN or any other CEO that will give clientelle what we deserve, You will lose a lot of subscribers, you might not believe me now, but by taking on your new clients with your schemes and lies you will therefor grow the crowd of subscribers that will let the world know about your useless service, You said you will fix the problems, the problems still persist since November 2019, you just close down the vaines to which we could turn to like your so called support wich was in anyway useless, but atleast we had someone to take frustrations out on, Your installations techs does not even have the proper gear to do installations or help with queries, they are un qualified techies that crawled out of a dark place, I hope to see you go down soon. Honestly Your so called service is of the lowest standard known to human kind and should not be permitted to be sold to the public, you should rather offer it for free to people in need, but shame, even they will struggle with something like yours if it is offerred for free.

You are Useless RAIN 5G

Theyre service level agreement doesnt mean a thing as they telephonically will tell you that it is a month to month scam and can cancel at any time... they just want the router back. Hilarious that this company still gets suckers to believe in theyre lies

Throttled you say? I doubt they need to throttle you unless one is on the Unlimited Home 5G Standard (there they clearly say they will limit one to max 30mbps) or the Unlimited 4G 24/7 (there they clearly say they will limit one to max 10mbp).

If one can have fibre, it's the way to go, no wireless technology will measure up consistently. But like for like, compare Vodacom 4G or 5G uncapped (if it even exists), you'd pay much more and will probably have better support.

Hi @Julsodie

My apologies for all the trouble you have faced so far, can you please DM me with your email address that is linked to your rain account, so that we can assist you further.

I am on the 5G premium which is unthrottled 200Mbs for R999 I used to have the 30Mbs for R699 and that wasnt sufficient to stream a movie while playing online games. Believe me the 5G premius is throtled and not just during peak times, all day long one struggles with this shitty service

please really, Rain have been dm'd by myself since february almost daily and you could not get a grip on your connections being intermittent and sluggish. It is best to keep it in public so south african rain subscriber can voice theyre frustrations for all to see. I am compelling my daily speed test results and will post it soon.

You're not getting throttled.. that's just what happens when a company tries to push a gazillion users onto a single tower in order to maximise profits.... Nothing wrong with maximising profits, but let's be honest - 4G / 5G doesn't scale as well as fixed line, so in order to maximise profits, you have wreck the user experience. As simple as that.

Hi @Julsodie

That is okay if you want to voice out your complains in public, but at least give me the chance to help you sort this issue out. Please provide me with the email address that is linked to your rain account so that I can assist you further.

Buddy i have countless speed test results showing otherwise. Yes they are over populated and yes they want to maximize profits, but they should not be making empty promises and handle theyre clientelle like donkeys with lies about settings of a tower in the pretoria north area being the cause which they have since rectified as said by the CEO. This shitty network will fall and i want to be apart of it.

I have allready dm'd you and no response, your priorities clearly show that you are just trying to show the public that you care. But all your clientelle knows you dont have the capacity
