Rains Super shitty service

I can feel the frustration in OPs every word here. Rain is honestly f#£@ing with its clientele, lying they're way out of every issue a customer may complain about. Continue lying rain, I for one am stupid because I don't have alternatives, but next year I'll move to an area with fibre, then I'll dump your 5G router at your supposedly "vandalized" base station.

with a network that grew so fast so quickly, I guess you get what you paid for.

me, I try to be reasonable, if I move around and put the sim in a phone and hotspot with it like that,
works okayish.

but yes can understand, before Rain put up a tower by us, speed was painfully slow at home,
but if you move around it gets a lot better.

Agree. Rain is sh*t for the majority of its users but guess what, their user base just keeps on growing by the day. People dont have a choice, if you're not in a Vuma Reach area then Rain is the only way to get cheap uncapped internet. I live in Eerste River in Cape Town and the weirdest thing this.. most of Eerste River moved over to fibre since the beginning of the year and my connection is still k*k. Vuma Reach are busy installing fibre in my neighborhood at the moment and I cant wait to move over to 20mb uncapped, unthrottled internet for 399 a month. 40mb for 579, but 20mb will be more than enough for my needs.
I just cant understand this, if most people moved over to fibre then why is Rain so damn slow? Even after 6 at night I get less than 1mb download speed. Can it still be congestion even though the majority or Rain users moved over to fibre?

It's a network.
An ISP is a network. Not a tower.
Their network is fkd.

Well looky looky. This is the start of a beautiful thing! Might look like just a blue line in the sand to you guys, but Vumatel was in my street today and they sprayed this blue paint in front of every house. Apparently they're starting with the trenching tomorrow. Whole neighborhood is buzzing, we're finally getting fibre.
Bye bye Rain!
Sorry for the moerse big picture, I'm on mobile and i dont know how to crop it, I'm just so excited!

Which is strange. Surely they have highly qualified CCNP CCIE guys that build the network.
TBH knowing rain is iburst of old hasn't ever inspired me with confidence.

The only high qualified positions there would be the brass receiving coin.

Good riddance. Hope you are free soon.

Yep, I was a teen and just getting into the swing of things when I encountered iBurst for several of my dads friends and they all complained.

I wish Vuma would roll out in my neighborhood but I guess we're too ghetto for them. It's literally right across the street, but they're not considering bringing it over to this side.

Get someone on the other side to get you a connection then get a proper PTP link and bam you connected
