Ram compatible info Plz

But then again, you could also wait for everything to become more affordable. In which case we'd never buy anything :D

lol, yeah, I'm waiting for 4GB of DDR2 1200 to become affordable, IMO DDR3 is not really worth waiting for, when it becomes affordable DDR4 will be available lol.

Even Asus released the p5Q a p45 board and it's DDR2 not DDR3, just shows that there still is life left in DDR2.

Hehe my bad. :)
So like he said then, rather wait for the DDR3 to become affordable before doing anything. But then again, you could also wait for everything to become more affordable. In which case we'd never buy anything :D

I'd rather not buy more DDR2 right now as you'll have to make the transition to DDR3 sooner or later, just as with Socket 939. Upgrading up a dead end street, not smart. Waiting a bit for DDR3 just leaves your options open, should you want to buy, for example, a Nehalem based processor you will not have to replace your RAM as well. Although there have been rumors of some Nehalem boards having DDR2 support. ;)

I still stand by what I've said, if you don't need to buy RAM right now, wait a bit.

Prob is I just got my new mobo and not going to upgrade again soon....

So I'll stick to DDR2 now... My mobo doesn't support DDR3 and don't really care bout that now... That's maybe end of next year's prob... hehe...

IMO best thing to do is get the best DDR ram you can afford and have no regrets about not choosing ram above 800.

I won't be able to overclock my FSB as far as I have without my ddr1066 modules.

Well, if you have no other choice then buy the most and fastest RAM you can afford ;)

I find that a 1:1 RAM:FSB ratio gives me improved performance, although I just leave the RAM in unlinked mode and push the FSB to my heart's content while the RAM stays at 800Mhz :D

Nvidia chipset? well if you can unlink your ram then 800mhz is good enough :)
