RAM RAM RAM!!! ARG

Does anyone think it's worth it getting a new mtoherboard?

The annoying thing is that.. I have the 2G of ram sitting infront of me.. rather annoying..

but all this for a ram slot? mm.. weird..

LOL

Dont gigabyte motherboards come with 3Yr warranties?

yes, they usually do, but if you buy a complete system from a computer company, you get 1yr on the system, as some parts have 1yr, others 2yr, ect. so you get 1yr on the complete system .... if something is wrong with the MB, best bet is to take it straight to the supplier, that being said .... if they except returns by customers.

Sigh.. guess I have to phone them tomorrow.. sigh..

Don't even know where I placed the slip.. :(

As far as the receipt goes - most PC equipment wholesalers scan barcode on item , so they'll know whether it came from them . So you probably don't need the receipt . Phone them and ask .

HAHA~

To my surpise.. I phoned them today.

They said Gigabyte has THREE years warrente!!! They are willing to take the mobo and check it out for me.. and if it is the mobo problem.. Direct swap out..

Just during that 7-14 WORKING days.. I won't have a PC..

Yeah.. I have like a really old comuter that lags when watch MKVs..

But anyway..

THink I'll just use that so long..

I had an almost similar problem a couple of months ago. I've got 4x1gig ram, I sent the pair (OCZ) to the supplier for testing and they came back fine!!! The bugger was the PCI express slot for the gfx card, switched to the second slot and alles is lekker.

Try cleaning that 2nd slot again with a brush ... then take a sharp pencil & lightly rub the lead part in the grove over the contacts to remove any possible oxidation. ;)

:erm: Won't that cause shorts should you get some of the lead in between the contacts?

Good Q..

I was thinking of the same thing.. but

If it works why not try? (Though it didn't work :()
