Ramaphosa's bizarre power plan

The plant is being planned for years, building a mine close to a plant makes sense yes (but let's not do it, truck coal for 500kms and pay triple the price no?).

But hey, keep on bashing on investment in your country and then moan when there's no investment...
Off course indeed. What a clever and logic model indeed. .... but ..... but ..... You do know that there are prime examples where the model you were punting (highlighted) already exist where power stations have their own coalmines in their back yard feeding coal with conveyors. Yet those mines were purposely neglected and thus became inefficient thus the powers stations in question do indeed rather purchase coal by the truckload transported via road at possibly the prearanged ANC Gupta contracted prices for their required coal. So why is that now suddenly the main consideration and game clincher. ?
The net effect of the ANC Gupta contracts was that even any small factory in South Africa using coal for running a small boiler for their production was affected due to the sudden "created" "shortage" and spiralling prices of coal.
As for the Chinese "investment". Ample proof exists that they "invest" with strings and sinister schemes attached. So those type of investments with added backhand deals fueling corruption are not in the best interest of our country.
Maybe you should remove the Chinese produce wool covering your eyes and mind. Just remember at the same time to remove your head from the sandpit first.

You can find sinister things about investments from every single country.

VW Dieselgate, BP, DowChemicals on top of my mind.

Then prove it, prove that it’s sinister, prove that something improper happens with facts.

So far you made your own conclusions based on wrong facts (you can’t even get the locations and the dates right).

Stop quoting me with your BS assumptions, just bring facts and verify your information before posting. Only then we can discuss and argue.

You are now on ignore as you bring nothing and I’m tired of browsing 10 minutes each time to bring proof of your mistakes.

PS: by the way, Exxaro, Glengore and Anglo Coal would have neglected plants on purpose to allow the Guptas to buy mines for the benefit of not Exxaro, Glencore and Anglo? Makes perfect sense. You know that Eskom does not manage mines?

By the way, Tegeta is right next to Hendrina (Eskom plant) and that’s the main Gupta mine. Very little trucking occurred in the Gupta mines saga except when the Gupta were NOT supplying. You got the story wrong again.

These are “a 4 600MW coal-fired plant, a cement plant and other metallurgical projects”.

So I can add the the cement part.....

We are hearing a lot lately up here in these parts about the Chinese wanting to build a deep water harbour about 20km south of Alexander Bay. They have already laid out the markers. When diggin a little deeper on what they plant to ship out of the harbour seeing as this part of the world be barren, locals inform us "Cement" mined somewhere close by the Richtersveldt.....
