Random switcing off of Sonoff devices

I have around 20 Sonoff devices (bulbs, BASIC R2's and T02 wall switches) scattered aroud the house. Recently a few of the Basics and the wall switches will turn themselves off quite randomly or in one instance will not operate on a Scene in EWElink. Any ideas?

Scenes can be funny. I found a while ago that even though I triggered a mass scene , which was really just on offs for differant times of loadshedding, some of the sub scenes would work. Toggling that sub scene active or not, made it work in the large scene again properly. Can only think they have a crap db structure. Simple scenes work fine.

You sure someone hasnt got into your system? Lots of folks extend it now to others outside of welink as well.
 
I have a scene that turns on inside lights at sunset (Maputo) as by the time the sun sets it's already dark inside. So it's effectively an early sunset but you can only set a delay not the other way around.

Long story short, sometimes the scene will not turn on certain lights, but others will switch on just fine.
 
Is anyone else experiencing a delay of +/- 20 seconds when turning a sonoff device on or off via the Ewelink app (Ver. 4.29.0 on iPad and Iphone)?
Google home activation is instantaneous!

Yep - my one Sonoff device switches on and off every couple of minutes - at 1st I thought it could be a latent short in the wiring to the Sonoff unit but I used an Efergy to test the voltage stability right on the line and it is stable and steady. Not sure if the Sonoff BasicR2 unit is busy giving up the ghost.

I suspect that the Ewelink server is the problem and hence the delay in activation, just my opinion.

Forgot to add that I also have the delay on some of my units - among them is the one PowR2 unit that keeps switching on and off randomly.

You can narrow it down by looking for guides for your specific devices. Youtube has many vids about flashing devices from lots manufacturers. There's also a few guides on this forum that'll help you. Take the plunge, it'll be fun.

I suspect that loadshedding, or rather when power returns that we are seeing some aborations in power which could be causing damage or corrupting the firmware. BTW, I do have surge protection on my DB and my plug circuits are fed via an inverter. I have yet another Basic R2 behaving badly which I will reset to factory and reconfigure. Let's see what happens.
 
Some feedback. I took one of the troublesome Sonoff Basic R2's reset it and added it back to the Ewelink App. Problem still exists of randomly switching off. I have now set Device Settings=>Power-on State=>Last State. This keeps the device on but I can hear the relay periodically switching. I can only surmise the contactors have been damaged. Any other thoughts?
 
Sounds weird to have multiple SONOFFs all switching off for no reason
Dodgy wifi router?

Take the suspect SONOFF to work and connect it there and see what happens

I have a brand new set of wifi 6 mesh routers and I am now longer of an age where someone would even consider hiring me(-;

A search of Google seems to indicate that a number of people around the world are experiencing similar problems with the Basic / POW type switches. I have had absolutely no issues with the smart bulbs I have installed and they probably have less powerful recievers. Speculation on the web seems to intimate a problem with the Ewelink servers.

Buddy of mine had similar problem.

Original sonoff pow
He tried to load pow2 firmware onto it with tasmotizer but as expected did not work

Luckily made a backup of Original firmware and flashed this back , since then unit works 100%
