Random X360 Questions: Network/USB

I had the Linksys routers in my setup but check this thread

Billion has been kind enough to give a detailed breakdown of what is required.
www.pcmall.co.za is also having a sale on linksys routers.

Basically I don't know to much about wireless either and I got myself a linksys wireless router and a linksys wireless access point. I connected my laptop to the AP and my PC to the router. I then configured the AP to bridge to the router through the wizard and then plugged the AP into the back of my Xbox. done.

Thanks again Gavin. My logic says to just run the damn cable looking at the cost. I'll go against my old skool logic though, for once, since the wireless setup already has its potential advantages in the house.

Yeah it would be cheaper to run a cable. It is probably a better idea as well since a cable is always the most efficient and stable way of connecting.

I couldn't run a cable as the wife didn't want any more cables running down the wall :D...

It's about R1000 to get both sides and a cable is what R50 max... But being able to browse the web from any room in the house or outside is a nice bonus and made it worthwhile for me.

I had the wireless router already as well which also helped keep costs down.
