range extender/repeater

I have a normal telkom adsl modem/router to which my pc is connected via ethernet, and my laptop connects to via wi-fi. The signal however doesn't reach the back parts of the house. I've been told i need a wireless repeater. Just want to know where i should get one from, approx how much it costs, are there any setup issues i should know about and are there any other options? Im unable to move my router.

funny you ask.. i am busy configuring two netgear WG602 access points as repeaters.. will let you know how it works out for me.. from what i read on the internet.. this doesn't seem to be an exact science.

i orginally tried with a netgear WG602 and wn 604 access point combo but did not succeed.

your router also needs to support WDS else you will need 2 wireless APs. i'm in this boat, so will be disabling the AP on the router and using the two 602s.
