Raped five times by hijackers

Or maybe im spot on regarding you

It's a free country, you can think what you want.

Can I ask you a question, how many times have you been effected by crime?

Are you asking if his mother was raped or do you mean affected?

I mean effected.
Where did you get mother from, no not mother or rape specifically.

Attack someone in a thread who worded his rage slightly wrong instead of condemning the rape ...... par for the course for idiots

My bad I should of re-read before I posted, I honestly didn't mean to offend anyone.

BS dude, I read your post as savages being rapists. Ignore the racist twits trying to make something out of nothing.

No, you mean affected. Affected means somehow altered or changed.

If he were effected by crime really means that he came into being because of crime, I.e. his mother was raped.

Put it this way, I wanted to know if he had personally been a victim of crime, myself being a victim since 7yrs old when an older kid robbed me of my bmx at knifepoint.
Since then I have had a knife to my throat, during pre 94 elections.
Had a knife held against my chest after 94 elections.
Shot at when they stole my Dad's bakkie, bullet missed my head by inches I reckon.

So far too many times for an average South African, then again I was born and raised in the former Transkei.

Yes, you have been affected by crime.

I must give credit to the police for chasing down a car that looked suspicious. Their reaction really did save her life. But it is the SAPS inaction that allows this kind of thing to happen as often as it does in the first place. Credit to these police officers individually. But as a whole. SAPS deserve no credit at all. They deserve to still be held accountable for the fact that criminals seem to run around with reckless abandon because they know they will get away with it.

If the death penalty were brought in, 80% of SAPS officers and 100% of officers above station chief would need to be the first in line for execution.

shame this is just so horrible. she went through such a trauma and she still says she's just so happy her friend survived. she's thinking of her friend after all she's been through. shame man.

In a lot of ways her motives could be very selfish. Of course she wants her friend to survive. But also, when such a traumatic thing happens, you hold onto anything positive that you can. If her friend had died. It would have been one seriously major blow to her psychological recovery chances.
At least now she has his survival and her own to hold onto as she climbs out of the psychological hole that she had been dumped in by these savages.

I'm confused. How is that selfish?

Wanting to save yourself from further grief is a selfish motivation. Let's not get sidetracked here though. I am not saying this is bad selfish, or that this is all or even part of her motivation. I am merely pointing out the psychological possibility here.

Your comment is funny because the reason the savages exist in the first place is because of those good ol' times.

Nope .. go read your history, they were savage even before then.

For survivors of violent crime, where other victim or victims died, guilt contributes to the development of PTSD, which could have more serious implications. PTSD is a serious consequence of violent crime.
It's not conscious 'selfishness'. You could call it 'survival instinct'.
