Rapidshare has their server loadbalanced. So which ever one you get usually is the one with the less traffic.

Iv got a prem acc so it auto chooses for me and speeds pretty much always the same :D

I think you'll get pretty much the same speeds from any of the servers ;)

Speeds should be the same. Cogent is considered of less quality bandwidth, while Level(3) is considered one of the top providers. I am speaking in terms of network stability and latencies.

As usual, use what is best from testing each one yourself.

What do you do about the shared ip issue and the cache problem when connecting to Rapid share?

The Rapidshare server that works best for me is Level (3). Normally choosing any other server bombs out

all the same with premium account

as for free, does it even work?

They are CERTAINLY NOT the same speeds, and it doesn't select the fastest one - it does it randomly!

Tip: If it goes slow, cancel the download and try another server.
Though, you do have a window in which you can do this...

Am I the only one who CAN'T use rapidshare? EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to download something, my Ip address has apparently already exceeded its limit. It's hilarious since HOW can my ip exceed it's limit if I can't download anything to begin with?

It's because of how our ISP works. To the outside world, there are like 5 south african ips that we all get routed through. (That's not official info BTW, i.e. I don't know for sure that there are 5. :p)

You will never get a rapidshare free download, don't waste your time. If you want it you must buy an account. Maybe on the off chance that you sit infront of your PC reloading the RS link untill you get something, but that gets boring fast.

I've wanted to know if it's any different using an Internet Solutions acc. , but no one has given a definate answer.

When I used to be on Mweb dialup, I could use rapidshare free, why on dialup but not on ADSL?

WOW Getting 200kbs on a 385 line today!
