Rapidshare updates to Rapids

Holy crap! mipony - such a crappy name, yet, so fsckin awesome!

- It builds a list of passwords to use, extracts your files by itself and delets the Rars too
- It can download from Hotfile AND Rapidshare AND megaupload, etc, etc at the same time - not *just* from 1 filehost and display "Limit of connections full* or whatever
- Monitors your clipboard and almost instantly tells you if the files are available
- Built-in browser, and also HJ Split
- No more asking for Hotfile password, where to download and whatnot each time when sending links - you just click "Download selected" and it goes
- Very, Very Fast feedback on KB/s
- Throttling if you wanna browse a bit!
- Displays a bar at the bottom showing you how far you are on ALL your downloads

I don't know what else it has but it is the best thing to use with a filehost, definitly!

lol, guess in my post where I mentioned I was gonna try it I should have made it big bold letters with an actual link :D

I too use IDM and have no worries about adding a bunch of links from Hotfile to it. it also verifies if the downloads are still alive.

Yeah IDM rocks. I looked at that Mipony thing but it doesn't offer me any better value that IDM. I actually found it more cumbersome and IDM to be more integrated and seamless. IDM for the win in my books!

I think Mipony, besides all it's cool features, is a MUST for those that do not have Premium accounts.

plus in my experience, don't fix what ain't broke :)

if it comes down to me not having 1 premium account, then I will give it a go, but for now IDM is working just fine (and overtime :) )
 
Does IDM have the same features? what does it have extra & less?


Cause I didn't close Mipony before turning the computer off - and the next day my whole download list was gone, my settings, my account settings, everything! =(
It was like a clean install of Mipony?!

so I love it to bits - but might try something else cause I rarely shut down properly

IDM does not have 1 and 4, or at least not from what I am aware of.

with the FireFox IDM plugin, it is as simple as right-clicking on a link and selecting it to "Download with IDM".
remember to have your "Direct Download" activated in your Premium account settings, otherwise it will capture the link of the web page with the actual link.

IDM doesn't have the feature part of 2, and you will probably still get the "Limit of connections" messages, but that is why I would recommend Mipony if you don't have premium accounts.

I have my RS and HF passwords in IDM cause I know sometimes it did tend to ask for them, but not lately so I guess they not needed. (think it is as long as you stay always logged into your premium account)
 
meh....
the auto unzip & delete, and password database is what drew me to mipony - so i guess i'll be sticking with it for now
 
Interesting. The password DB sounds useful. I need DLC support though, so Jdownloader it is for now.

yeah, thinking of that, the password DB could be helpful, but I guess mostly together with the AUTO UNZIP.

that could actually be a nice addition to the already featured IDM.
 
Anyone know of a proggy that can automate Sharematrix?

Sorry for the typo (typing on my phone, lol) - it does support it, but you have to enter the captcha. I am looking for a totally automated downloading prog.

You will always need to enter a captcha if you don't have an account - that's why they are there, to stop programs from automation - a computer can't understand captcha's.
 
I need to double check on how it works, but it does look like IDM can do an auto unzip/rar once completed.

just need to tune the command lines.

will have a look when I download a protected set of files again.
 
Well, after starting with JDownloader, trying FDM and Mipony, I am back to JDownloader :p
