Morning all

The tech team has informed me that rapidshare can be excluded from the t. proxy if the I.P. is given, sorry cannot use rapidshare.de.

Any ideas?

Shaun, I am very keen on this happening. I will contact rapidshare in the near future, and try and see if they can help with the required info. As soon as I get a reply, I will give you a shout.

Thanks a lot. I am really impresed with the level of service, even though it took a while of us moaning about it, but thanks a lot in any case.
 
What exactly is the issue with Rapidshare? I'm using it just fine, no problems what so ever.

Trouble downloading from Rapidshare? Try this baby out, it may only work for a week or two, but the new versions of "The Grabber" pop out almost as quickly as Rapidshare blocks 'em. Been using it for last 2 years....
You will need a good 'proxy" list for it to work, anybody who is a bit clueless can email me, will send you the links or whatever you need....

Anyone interested, will keep you up to date with latest version(s)

Thanks 2Well, I never had a problem with Rapidshare or any other uploading site, but I use htem regularly and that last app looks usefull.

But what about the image codes you have to put in maunally on most of those sites, you know the ones that are there specifically so that programs like that cant work?
Does it have some way of getting around them or do you have to go and get each file maunally and it just adds them to a list? Because any downlaod manager could do that.
You say it waits for the download ticket, well suually you enter the code after the download ticket, so im presuming it can get past this.. mind telling me how?
 
US Downloader does get past the image code thing AFAIK. technically it isnt that hard: you train an OCR engine to identify certain styles of symbols as certain letters. I am sure that is possible. Actually the whole image code thing was developed by rapidshare in response to the large amount of USDownload users but it seems to have failed to beat the system...
 
Cool, thanks man. Ill try it out then.

Im shure it isnt that hard, most of the images are pretty clear, but a few websites change the style every now and again.

But this isnt that much use to me really, its just nice for a file that I want that has been split into rar files and then hosted. not like I could download forever with htis now.. cap. I dont go over my cap till right at the end of the month, I geuss this could be usefull then.

Shaun, this is unacceptable. I work at a university where we are all behind a proxy (I suppose similar to the one iBurst uses) but files from these services can be downloaded. It can be done.

Looks like this problem is fixed. I was able to download from Rapidshare as well as MegaUpload just now.
