Has anyone ever ordered anything from rarewaves?

I just ordered a coupled of items for my collection and realized they do not give any tracking info whatsoever. That's a problem for SA because the parcel will probably go through SAPO and they do not have delivery vehicles which means I will have to go to the post office to fetch it myself. SAPO also don't send emails or messages to let people know when their parcels have arrived in SA so how am I now gonna know when my parcel is in SA and ready for pickup? A tracking number is mos essential when it comes to the useless, pathetic SAPO.

So my question is: if you've ordered from rarewaves, how did you track it without any tracking details and did you eventually end up getting your stuff without issues? Already emailed rarewaves and they said they can't help me.

Won't be ordering from them again if this is how they do things. :(

So you didn't read the shipping terms and conditions and now you are surprised that you didn't get a tracking number..

Even if you did get a tracking number, SAPO assigns it's own tracking number to parcels and they'll only track using their tracking number.. that's of course when SAPO is actually working..

Again, if SAPO is actually working, you will get a collection slip in your postbox when the parcel is at your local PO for collection..

Eish..... Check back at SAPO in 6 - 12 months. In theory, once it is here their system will tell them where the parcel is. But it usually gets sent endlessly between branches, CPT , DBN, JHB etc. for a couple of months before it lands at your branch. Also remember you pay an additional collection fee. Pray and hope they did not split up the orders.

Goodluck!

No. Find it really hard to believe that rarewaves can't give me anything at all.

I do not have a postbox. I've dealt with SAPO many times and I've never received a slip, ever. I've always had some sort of tracking number though. This is the first time I don't have anything so just wondering how I'm gonna know when it's in SA and ready for pickup.

For someone with such a high Reaction Score TM I expected better.

They can only track until it leaves their courier/country. Then there is no way for them to track.

Yeah I know. Been dealing with SAPO here in PTA a lot lately with wish, temu etc. Sometimes have to go to the sorting center to fetch, other times it's at my nearest post office. They never let me know so I always rely on my tracking info. Collection fee is not a problem, it's not much.

Yes but even their international Royal Mail tracking details would have been useful to me but they can't give me anything.

Mine is def not a large order lol.

I guess I'll just wait like 30 days and then go to the PO to see what's up. Maybe I'll find my parcel, maybe not. This wouldn't really be an issue if SAPO still had delivery vehicles to deliver to my house.

Anyway here's the email I received:

Update: finally have my parcel.

Had to visit my local post office and they managed to find it for me. Fought with rarewaves weekly asking for any tracking info or receipts etc but they kept telling me there is no tracking number at all. There is a nice big DHL tracking number on the parcel lol.

Won't order from them again.
