Raspberry Pi computer - the real cost

Buy one and you will need all the extra's to develop on it. I am wanting more than a few, and for what I want to do in use I just need the SD card, power and a network cable.

If you need all the extra's (case lol) then wait back and let those in the know get on with refining the platform for the more consumer orientated.

Me as well.

I think Derrick needs to realize this is not to replace a PC. Yes you can do some stuff with it that a PC can do, but it is more for the tinkerer. That GPIO port is where all my interest lays!

Rehash Old thread:

I am thinking of ripping the PC out of my arcade machine and replacing it with the latest Raspberry Pi...... Where be the best place to buy in CPT?

I don't want to use places where I need to register accounts and all that red tape..... just pay and collect with a courier company!

Cheers

I have a RBP 1 Model B that I'd be willing to trade for a few Cherry Cokes and Fanta mango and Passion-Fruit from Spar, it's not the latest model though.

Otherwise try RS, it's not that much hassle and cheaper than Mantech.
