RASPBERRY Pi Order Placed !!

Placed my order as well. Seems like they're goign to release quite a large shipment, given that so many of us have received the mail.
 
While reading this thread I just got the following mail and wonder if this thread had anything to do with it ;)



We know the big questions you are asking are: “where am I in the queue?” and “when will I be able to place my order?” for the Raspberry Pi. We are currently working to give you an indication of where you are in the queue and likely delivery times and hope to share this with you shortly. We are also increasing our website capacity to enable us to invite you to place your order as soon as possible.

While you wait, why not check out just what the Raspberry Pi model B board is capable of by watching our compliance engineers have some fun demonstrating Quake, or see a Raspberry Pi-powered XBMC Media Centre. Also, find out what happened when Eben and Liz visited Maker Faire in the US.

Sure, as long as you're willing to glue it together yourself I can stick the pieces in an envelope.. The actual material cost is negligible.

I have done some drawings and I will mill some things over the weekend and see how it comes out.

How much heat do you think it generates?

Hopefully not enough to entice my cat to try and sit on it :D

PS. Not sure if you read the comments on that post, but some people did mention the cut-outs were a few mm off in places.
 
got my order form yesterday... but dont have money at the moment... what should i do? does someone else want it?

Make a loan :)

edit: they require the person to enter the email address the mail to order was sent to. So you won't be able to give the code away anyway

I didnt notice, I will read it thru.

Edit: I actually see now that there are 3d models of the pi. So I'm going to rather build a case around the model. That way I know it will fit.

Placed my order... i ordered the hifg speed flash disk and some cable with it... came down to R469.00, can't wait to get my humble pi
