Does it have to come through DHL? What happens if you choose a post box delivery?
Dhl is working over the weekend to get me my Pi... So duno what they're moaning about.

An you can also save like R20 just by checking out in GBP instead of using USD.

loot has some decent price on their memory cards and in general its pretty well priced beating takealot's price most of the time and the fact that they offer free shipping on EVERYTHING

Fudge.... DHL is sending me the fees for the customs clearance and extra VAT that I need to pay.
If it's anything close to the amount I paid for my Pi then I will drive over there and shove the Pi up their.... yeah. You get the drift.
Why a MicroSD card? Rather go for a proper SDHC card. Class 4 or 6 is best. I've seen a few Kingston Class 10 cards that work (which should boost performance too)

The microsd card is the same and works well with the adapter too. I read people that use the microsd card and it works fine. The microsd card is class 4 too so it would work just as good.
Anyways I bought like 5 diffirent memory cards for extra phone and camera I have here so.
Ok. Well if it works I suppose it's all good.
Got a bill from DHL and the total fees for my Pi is R143.26.... R100 disbursement and R43.26 VAT. Paid that as it's not that bad. Still not entirely impressed though.

I've picked up goods from the DHL warehouse before, find it where it is and see if your Mrs can go through for you. Make sure to buy her something nice on your way back

My one was delivered at 9:30 this morning! Can't wait to get home. Getting my finances sorted and looks like I'll be ordering a 2nd one soon. This day is starting to drag now seeing as I know the thing is on the kitchen counter waiting for me.
Did anyone get away with ordering 2 of these? I used a different email address for the 2nd one and I'll use a different credit card when I order, but just curious as to whether they'd use name/physical-address to limit 1 per customer.
This first one is becoming a media centre, but I want a 2nd one for messing around and building stuff.

You could also order from Farnell / Element14 instead of RS for the second (or third) one
