Raspberry Pi Zero – the R70 computer

So I mailed them to ask if they ship to SA (after my Pihut experience where I went through the whole order process only to find out they no longer send here cos SAPO is ****e). They replied within an hour, but stock was all gone by then. :(

Really impressed with the Pi Zero. I used to have to power up my old Core i7 PC each time I wanted to watch anything in my study. Now I just power up the Pi Zero with OpenElec installed. The GUI is a bit slow, but once a full HD clip starts playing it plays 100%.

For ethernet this USB 2.0 to RJ45 adapter works well.

I use a Chronos USB 2 10/100 RJ45 adapter I found at a local store, works a treat with my RPi Zero, this was a few years ago, so no idea on availability.

I just bought a cheapo usb-wifi adapter. Works perfectly. Getting a USB soundcard from Dx, keen to see if that works ok. Otherwise it's Phat-DAC for me.

Am running a Asus Xonar U3 from my Pi Zero - very happy, has a line in as well, records nicely from a mixer.

Yep, better late than never - at least SAPO is not filling the local landfill with undelivered items.

Real nifty solution that ... :)
