Raspberry Pi Zero – the R70 computer

Great idea. It's fine to bring out upgrades to the original Pi, but also good that they've realised the original is still very useful, especially for it's main purpose (learning), so bring out a device with similar performance using today's tech (and prices).

P.S. Anybody planning to stock these soon in SA? Alternatively, best place to buy and import?

I wonder how soon it will be before we see these critters embedded into everything - homes, schools, cars, businesses

I just tried to order and they're out of stock! Too slow (should've ordered this morning. Busy day at work, dammit!)

What they charge you for shipping? (And to where in SA?) I'm in CT

Er, cars are full of computers more powerful than these (and sensors), homes & schools - depends if you count your appliances.

I agree. This type of advance will increase deployment exponentially and maybe beyond what we are currently imagining

Got mine from Pifactory, just be aware that these bliters do not like USB 3 hubs ... , hoping I can put the SD card for the Zero into either my RPi B or RPi 2 B, set it up and then run it headless as planned.

Hi guys

I've been trying to find any information regarding stock of these little critters, but I guess no news is... BAD news?

Any idea about when the next batch will be available?
