I'm looking for a Raspberry Pi. Anybody know where I can get one without the 3 month wait? And at a reasonable price, of course.

I bought one from RS - components.. Waited about six weeks.. That's pretty much your only option though, unless you can find someone who's purchased a few or selling their's on gumtree. They only removed the 'one per person' thing very recently, so will take a while for them to filter in.
 
What he said. Jump in the queue man. Some of us waited way longer than that :)

It will probably be like 6 weeks or so currently.
 
RS's website says "dispatch expected within 14 weeks" so maybe the queue is getting a little longer.

I've got some friends coming over from the States next month so I'm giving e-bay a go this week. If that doesn't work out I'll hop in the queue with the gazillion others.
 
What are you guys using it for? I'm wanting to use it as a HTPC. Connect up a 1TB external HDD for my wife / kids to watch our DVD's off. Figure it'll be easier switching episodes, movies etc this way than popping discs in and out. Apparently you can use an Android phone as a remote and I've seen there's an Android ICS port in the works for the Pi.
 
I am using it as a HTPC. Put OPENELEC on it. Works a charm. Playing 40gb movies off my external hdd no problem. Overclocked a little. But using it daily, and user friendly enough for the wife. A while back I wabted to build an HTPC, but since I got the Pi theres no need. Such a cheap solution
 
Try Electrocomp Express. They are a Farnell distributor. Last time I checked the estimate time from them was 3-5weeks.

The thing with the Pi is one can have a stack of SD cards, each with a different OS or config and simply boot as necessary.

Thanks. Their website says about 47 days - that's by far the best yet.
