Hey guys,
So I currantly have the following rig:
AMD FX 8350
16GB Ram
SSD
1080 GFX card
Thermaltake Toughpower 600W PSU from 2009 (probably time for a new one eh?)
I work primarily with Cinema 4D and After Effects. In After Effects especially, that CPU just isn't cutting it. With huge scenes, the viewport is slow, laggy, and render times are long.
My Plan is to throw away the cpu, mobo and ram (or find a willing buyer
) And replace it with a modern skylake system. So my build is as follows:
Skylake 6700K from esquire
Cant decide on these two Mobo's:

http://www.wootware.co.za/gigabyte-ga-z170-gaming-k3-lga1151-ddr4-atx-desktop-motherboard.html
32GB Ram:

PSU:

So what would you folks do in the same position? Would the extra money be worth putting in a 6800K (overall difference doesn't look like that much). Is that ram worth it, or should I go with a faster variety?
