Yeah they do, multiple times...

I ended up having to threaten the head of Revenue collection in eThekwini with a lawyers letter before they backed off on trying to disconnect me because of their monumental billing fsckup (near as damnit half a million ronds water bill for 3 days of water usage)
 
Same coming to JHB, Pretoria and other towns too.

If the Rate Payers Associations are on the ball and acting on behalf of the citizens, then yes. Ours are currently planning a refuse removal service that will be funded by the citizens and permanently removing this function from the municipality.

And no, Durban gets the same level of load shedding as Cape Town no matter how you try and spin it to suit your stupid rants.

They are? Interesting, the numbers are pulled from CoCT's site and eThekwini's site.. maybe I should tell both revenue departments they're lying./
 
Metro won't email you your rates bill/water bill, and won't even have it available on their system, yet they'll still cut your water for not paying, there are times you have to just guestimate your rates bill and pay.
