Engine in the Polo GTI is a lot smaller isn't it?

yep. 1.4 vs the 2.0 in the ford. but the 0-100 is the same-ish (.3/5 diffs i think). the polo gti has a turbo and supercharger though.

Can't say I've felt torque steer in my GTI as in wrestling the wheel.

But I'm sure if I wasn't holding the wheel it would pull to the side.

OK thanks. No I had to wrestle mine quite a couple of times. But like I said, feels a bit more "stable" after the service. Don't know if it really is, or is some kind of placebo effect. Will see if I get a chance to test it on my way home.
