Rats ate my wiring :(

We had neighbours that moved out.
They left the dogs behind and as a replacement for attention they would leave overflowing dog bowls everywhere (7 big bowls for 3 dogs, always filled to overflowing).

I spotted a rat, I ignored it.

Next night I spotted 2.

I put some peanut butter and mielies on a reasonably lit wall, got myself a comfy spot with a camping chair and my pellet gun then sat down and waited.

Night 1 in 1 hour: 10 rats.
Night 2 in 1 hour: 8 rats.
by night 5 there were none left.

I waited a week and repeated (1 rat here, 1 rat there, nothing big).

When people finally moved in they also had pest control over and that was the end of that issue (and my target practice).

It would probably be quicker and work out cheaper thinking of all the labour, to replace the wiring harness
