Hi

So Rdio is shutting down and will be ending all subs in next billing run.

Can anybody recommend a suitable replacement that I can use on my Android devices and PC browsers?

Thanks

I guess Deezer is the only answer. But their Flow isn't as good as Rdio's personalised FM

I use TuneIn quite a lot but it's hardly the same. I like getting BBC Radio during the day.

At least its not like Umano that was bought by Dropbox and just shut down, without a replacement.
So - what is the best option, Deezer, Simfiy or Pandora?

Deezer, I just hate that Deezer doesn't have the same playlist support as Spotify otherwise I would switch.

No love for Apple Music?

Is it an Android problem? Because it will be on Android soon.

Oh wait...people probably want everything for free, forgot about that mentality.

Deezer?

I find the flow feature to be fine for my needs.

As a long time Simfy user with an account paid up for two more years (thanks to promos), I'll readily say that Deezer is the best around.

Even better now that Windows 10 runs Metro apps as windowed apps, so the Deezer app is actually an option now if you don't want to use the website.

Apple music is an option, but on PC you have to use iTunes to play music. Also, Rdio was R60 per month which I believe is the cost of Apple Music as well.

I also got a free years subscription to Simfy with my last Sony phone, used it for two days before switching back.

Does Deezer not have playlists?

Yes Deezer has paylists.

Lol. Maybe do some googling before you promote Apple products blindly

Also here to recommend Deezer.

I actually used Rdio for a long time and was a big punter for it, but they kept removing features and content and it felt like the content they had never got updated (i.e. the top songs/albums etc) . Deezer on the other hand is alot more active, i can log in every day and i see they posted new stuff and recommended stuff .

Deezer got this concept of "music bloggers" or whatever you'd call them, people that post playlists and songs/artist recommendations. This is not automated, but i suppose if you have you an artist in your collection that is mention in such a recommendation you will see the particular post...so i end up finding more alternate music than i use to in Rdio's Channels/Radio feature.

Now, i wonder if Pandora will become open to us , considering they bought part of Rdio.
