i am trying to connect to home computer.

linksys router wrt54g E620 card
dyndns enabled
unrestricted apn
vodacom 3g prepaid

I cannot establish a connection from a remote computer - help:confused:

hi,
check your port forwarding on the router. You should have the Terminal Services / RDP port, not sure what it is, forwarded to the PC you want to connect to.
Hope this helps

Which system is on the unrestricted apn, the client or the system you're trying to control?

And the other system, how is that connected to the internet?

the system i want to control is on the unrestricted apn.

the client is connected to the internet via e220 3g modem on the MTN network (the vodacom signal in the inner city JHB is atrocious)

thanks

i have attempted to setup port forwarding on the router

I know it works from ADSL->unrestricted, so routing from outside the Vodacom network *should* work.

Can anyone else confirm?

It does work but lately i am very lucky if i manage to get my log on screen to appear been going on for the past month with all the vodacom systems upgrading going in. Just keeps giving me time outs.

same problems here carlito777 have never managed to get the unrestricted apn working stable though been trying for +- about a year dont know if it is because of being prepaid ,i can either connect to it or just gives time out error or tells me that no such connection exists basically a lucky packet lol , Funny thing is that when i connect it to my iburst ,i can connect whenever and wherever and it has always popped up with my log in screen ,no time out errors.
