 Please PM me your secret... the most I get is 4-5Gb in 24 hours.:(

It depends what you download. I doubt you will get that much off Torrents or News Servers. That is probably Distros, ISOs and such from FTP or direct HTTP.... with multiple connections to max out the line.

Unless you have an international connection to Giganews... as some people do! :p Giganews will give you a great connection! ;)

Gee, it's been a while since I have posted anything here. I think the last was a rant about Sentech MyWireless. *sigh* the good old days.

So this post all about the same old begging to get an invite to Bitfarm. for some reason all my frineds have a "-1" allocation for invites so they can't get one to me. Anyone have more than that availble, i'll MMS you a case of beer.....

You need to get a post count of around 500 or 1000 so we can get to know you first. :)

imagine if pick 'n pay told you they need to know you first garyvdh before you spend ur money there. they wont make money and you will starve, peoples bandwidth is like money they want to spend. And no company will turn a paying customer down. i think the system should be more harsh on the people buying and not spending if you know what i mean. u'd have no problem taking anyone, knowing that if no contribution is made they get kicked out the store very easily. keep the sucurity tight and u dont have any problems.

companies spend large amount on advertizing to promote their business losing a little amount of bandwidth to someone new is sort of the same thing....i'll leave the rest of the thinking for you..................

I always thought it was a case of inviting personal friends that are like minded in sharing (and actually seeding). I don't give invites to just anyone

The whole idea is to get to know people better. If they have a higher post count (in a shorter space of time), then we know they are actively participating here... and will be more of a valuable asset to BitFarm. If their post count is higher here... then they have most likely made friends and it is easier for me to ask people if they know this guy.

So yes, we don't just indiscriminately invite anyone. We ARE only interested in those who will actually SHARE... not leech. BitFarm has had its fair share of leechers, and they are actually on a clean-up drive at the moment to get rid of all the leechers.

We want people who will seed the files they download from BitFarm... for at least 24 hours. You can't just log on and grab something and then log off when it is done... you will be punished for doing that and will eventually be kicked.

I have had my fair share of problems with people not seeding stuff... uploading stuff... and my download gets halfway and then they disappear, etc. We like to screen them first.. rather than have them log on and waste our bandwidth. I say screen them BEFORE they get on there. If they are persistent enough and determined to become a contributing member they will eventually get invited. But these one post wonders, rarely stay around. I don't see any reason to give them a trial-membership and have my name dragged through the mud when they prove to be leechers.

Agreed, My post was more tongue in cheek than nything else, but as a rule of thumb I only ever invite people I know will help the BF community and not tarnish it by H & R, limiting, etc.

Besides why not promote the number of posters on MYBB :p
