Agreed, My post was more tongue in cheek than nything else,but as a rule of thumb I only ever invite people I know will help the BF community and not tarnish it by H & R, limiting, etc.

Besides why not promote the number of posters on MYBB

now I am back again, and would like an invite, but I understand all the problems behind just inviting slackers, so I am willing to put in the miles before I get an invite (if I ever do)

imagine if pick 'n pay told you they need to know you first garyvdh before you spend ur money there. they wont make money and you will starve, peoples bandwidth is like money they want to spend. And no company will turn a paying customer down. i think the system should be more harsh on the people buying and not spending if you know what i mean. u'd have no problem taking anyone, knowing that if no contribution is made they get kicked out the store very easily. keep the sucurity tight and u dont have any problems.

companies spend large amount on advertizing to promote their business losing a little amount of bandwidth to someone new is sort of the same thing....i'll leave the rest of the thinking for you..................

Well it's a pretty close-knit family. There's been a crapload of um... crap going on around torrents and the nzb's the last few months (or almost years) which have changed the way we do things now.

Don't waste your time...local torrents are sad...no-one likes to seed...bandwidth stingy...

Thing is I control my works internet and when our 3 gig telkom cap is up I can use the 30gig local on the spare computer here at work to dial in and just leave running. I dont mind seeding because the bandwidth isnt mine and would get wasted otherwise.

Lol. I cant really mention what software I got on a open forum but Ill make sure its stored. Lets just say "A Master Collection" is what I have currently and busy downloading a "Studio that is visual". Will also prob be able to seed the WOW patchs when I get them and any other general stuff.

What would you do to gain people's trust? Being new to a forum is like going to a new school. They don't know that you're honest or trustworthy. You have to earn it first.
