Re-install Windows 8.1 DSP using Bootcamp?

I successfully loaded Windows 8.1 DSP on my Macbook Air using Bootcamp a while back and it's so awesome!

I have just run into a problem now. When I was partitioning the HDD using Bootcamp assistant, I chose 40 GB for Windows. After loading the software and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013, I'm left with 19GB and I need to load Autodesk Inventor which is over 20GB :(

So since my Windows is a DSP software, will I be able to delete the Bootcamp partition and set up Windows again with a bigger partition, using the same product key?

OR is their a way to increase the partition size without loading Windows again (if that's even possible)?

Thanks!!

I used an Ubuntu live disk and GParted to resize the partition without losing data. I don't know of any other to do it natively. You will have to use 3rd party tools. I recommend GParted since it's free and worked perfectly when I tried it.

Mac OS's Disk Utility should have an option to shrink your Mac partition. Once that is done, boot Windows 8 and use the Disk Management console to expand your Windows partition. Or use GParted as suggested above.

Thanks. I will have a look at GParted..

EDIT: It seems that a lot of people have had problems with GParted and I know that I will be one of them lol.

The safest way is to re-install the Bootcamp partition and I would gladly do that if I knew that I would be able to reinstall my DSP software without problems.

Another option would be to read the following thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23413543#23413543

They use a free third party tool called Mini Tool Partition. Unfortunately, Disk Utility by itself won't complete the job and that free tool or similar is required.

Thanks but that discussion seems to have disappeared. I'm skeptical about using these disk utilities though. I should have just asked about re-installing Bootcamp with the same DSP product key only.

Anybody know a thing or two about DSP software?

The question may sound stupid but my concern lies in the fact that the EULA states that a partition is seen as a new system and will require more than one license if you have more than one partition.
So what if I delete the existing partition and create a new one and it sees this new one as a completely new partition that I will have to get a new product key for?

I clicked on the link now and it worked. Since you don't like using disk utilities, try this:

Open an elevated command prompt (run command command prompt as admin, don't just click to open) and run this command:

slmgr /upk.

Close the command prompt and reboot. This will uninstall the product key and set it back to trial mode.

To activate the new installation, open an elevated command prompt and run these two commands:

slmgr /ipk [your product key here]

slmgr /ato

With Windows 8, Microsoft allow de-activation. They are only concerned if you try to activate it on two different machines at the same time.

Sorry the link does work now.

Thanks for all your help. I will read up on those commands that you gave me :)
