Hi there,

I can get either of these two cards (I already have one, someone will give me their old one).

Which is better, my Current Nvidia Chaintech 7300gt AGP or an Nvidia 6600GT AGP

Only interested in playing Call of Duty 4 btw, its the only game I play

Please help, thanks for your time

Cheers

I played Crysis on a 6600GT on low graphics, but it worked fine.

DOes crysis not need a high end card?

It does need one

COD 4 and Crysis don't run smoothly at 1680*1050 on medium settings on my 8800GTS 320mb :o

How much do you think I could get for my 8800GTS card?

I ran crysis smooth on my 8800gts 640mb medium/high on my 22inch :P

Yeah go for the 6600gt. I had one up until 6 months ago. Even though the newer games can only re run low-res, it's still a decent solid card

Truthfully, the Nvidia 6 series really are the wonder cards. I mean they really did well in games. Imo i think that going for the 6600gt will only give you some increased frame rates hey. the 7300gt was also a pretty darn good budget card.
BUT what is your budget? I mean, if you can stretch just a lil bit, you could try going for an ati x1950 pro AGP or a Nivdia 7900GS AGP, if you go for either of those cards, then I reckon you could be play COD4 with medium settings at a nice res...
