Hi all,

Quick q, i do quite a bit of reading in the evening so most of the day im saving bookmarks. This isnt ideal, and after much research, there are two claring apps that do what i need really well i.e. Read it Later ($2.99) and Instapaper ($4.99).

I want to know if anyone has experience in any of these. Your experience, preferences and why also the ability to save from a whole host apps i.e. twitter, facebook, safari , sync to home pc? etc.

You responses are appreciated.
Cheers,

FYI: Will use on iPhone4 / potential use for iPad when I get one :)

Instapaper is the best - you get the iPad version for free too. It just works so brilliantly, it's not the best selling app for nothing, and it's the one I recommend.

Cool beans!! Sounds good. Will give it a try! Thanks

There's a rumor that the new iOS 5 will have the same functionality build into safari. I also want to get instapaper but I'll wait and see until Apples' new iOS release.

I haven't tried Read It Later, but Instapaper works very well. The only problem is finding the time to read all the saved pages... :)

Thanks MikeCTZA. Good read :) But, I decided on Read It Later. Does exactly what I need and it was cheaper :) Am able to save files from websites, twitter, facebook etc and post from saved articles within RIL. Thanks again for all the assistance. Appreciated. Cheers.

I picked up Read It Later Pro when it was $0.99. But even at $2.99 it's a good buy, although the free version does the job just as well.

Damn, Thats Awesome. Wish I picked it up then aswell, but $2.99 is a decent price. I think Instapaper is abit overpriced IMHO. I'm sure RIL will have more support has time passes.

Thanks for the info peeps. From my Twitter app - when viewing web links there is an option to "Read it later" which can be set up to an Instapaper account (Wish Safari cud do this). Problem with that is you still have to go to the Instapaper website to read it later. I have been a bit shy of the Instapaper app cos its a bit pricy for what is seemingly a basic enough utility, but I am probably still gonna go ahead and buy Instapape regardless. I think the value of the app just goes up if you have an iPad and do alot of article reading etc....

Are you able to save to Evernote aswell ? I use evernote frequently, but for work purposes. Is it integrated into iPhone Twitter app?

I'm not aware that Evernote can be used for this pupose? Is this true?

I use evernote for saving web pages all the time. Is that what you mean?

Works great. Has an iPhone, iPad, Windows and OSX app too.

So I have been using RIL for a day now and I am very HAPPY with the functionality. Its also provides a jscript for Safari so when you want to save an page via safari it works wonderfully via bookmarks. Awesomeness.
