any one know who can realighn a dish cheaply, mines just went i asume its the dish as the signal strength an qulity went down to 0, i checked the lnb its fine i moved it slightly to see alos have another i tested with, decoder is fine 2 i tested my neighbours.
 
Have an installer come out, they have the right tools and instrumentation for the job.
 
Sounds funny. Has your dish been bumped? If not, then I don't think it needs to be realigned. Unfortunately I'm too far to come out there and do it but it might be any number of things. Actually though if it does need to be realigned it will be cheaper to diy. Get yourself a Satfinder (you can get one for about R200) and follow instructions found on the pamphlet. And then if something happens again you can diy again. Seriously though, If the dish has not been bumped then it won't need to be realigned. Have you checked cabling. If your cables are running in the roof they could have been damaged by rats. (have seen this) And are you sure it is not the lnb, they don't usually malfunction but it can happen.

thanks ronjay but dont worry i found a decent installer who helped me out.
he said the dish was alighned realy crapy in the first place and all it took was a slight knok and it was basically facing a wall thats why me fidling around with the lnb didnt work

Okay good. Your original installer must have been a twit. But at least it is sorted.

Maybe realign your spelling first?
