My new PC is giving me some pain....

(Asus M2V, 2x512Mb DDR800, 7600GS, 3600+ x2, 120gb WD)

Well my first problem is that sometimes when I restart the PC my bios bootup screen is like in filled with coloured block and character problems...might be the VGA card memory or something...will be checking what it does with my buddy's VGA card....

The real problem is the Realtek HD Crap Audio...I currently have it connected to a Logitech Z5400 Audio System via the direct 6 channel analog connections....pffft...i set it 2 6 channel and everything works great until I restart then I just get crackles and pops...so then I set it to 2 Channel and back to 6 Channel and it works again....well until you restart....Sucks!

Tried the latest bios update and Sound drivers...

onboard sound is normally cheap and not very useful, i aot a sound card for 1000 bucks and never looked back, i use my computer for alot of sound and shyte and it really is a good investment

Got Asus M2N-e and the onboard sound is also crud! while playing music and games you get the occasional crack or pop

Did you get the bootup corruption fixed?

Nope  ....looks like Cr@p
This is the system problems sofar.....

-Graphical Problems on startup
-Freezed twice on windows startup
-Onboard audio all messed up in 6 channel
-Some programs (ex.Powerdvd) just does not open
-Quite unstable
-and unresponsive

Great :D ... I love my new PC... ....notttt!!!

Here are the specs..maybe someone out there has similar specs and can help

AMD Athlon 64 3600+ X2 CPU (65W)
2 x 512MB Aeneon DDR 800
120GB Western Digital HardDrive
Chaintech 7600GS 256DDR PCIeX
400Watt Gigabyte PSU
LG 18x DVDRW Optical Drive
Creative Audigy PCI
Logitech Z5400 5.1 Digital Speaker Set
Acer 19" Widescreen 5MS LCD

Help please....I have spoken to the supplier I got the motherboard from and they will be swopping it tommorow....Maybe that helps

Just a mental note:

Is it just me but is this lately the problem with new hardware....think about the system I just told you about above....

Ok...let's say you have to troubleshoot the thing...

Well it's got DDR2,AM2,PCIeX etc etc....not the type of parts you just have lying around to chop and change to test around with...

My problem can be the board, memory, psu, graphics card or even worse case senario the cpu....or maybe they all work 100% and it's just incompatibility between them somewhere....ahhhh!!! this really sucks

I had the same problem with my realtek onboard sound, but getting the latest driver sorted out my problem, if the latest drivers did not work for you I recommend you find beta's if they're available, or modded drivers to fix the sound crackling, its a driver problem I'm sure

I'll keep that in mind...what I meant was that when I restart I can hear anything except the crackle/distortion sound.

...also I found a new problem...when my monitor goes on power saving and I move the mouse to wake up the screen nothing happens...then i restart...nothing...switch off machine...nothing....leave off for 60sec...works again....WTF
