Sorry to hear this. I used to collect from him (both in Bryanston and when he was out further west), and with one of the last PCs I built, he didn't have one of the components when I went to collect. He couriered that to me, for nothing, when it was available. That is service.

R/$ is big factor as many SA tech retailers will not survive

And curiously Evetech can now sell everything online? Hows this possible? Are eCom now eligible under the relaxations to sell anything they want?

Yes, it is now allowed. Takealot have also opened their electronics which are allowed under level 4. Wootware have been selling these items since level 5. I guess many more, who is capable, will be opening up these inventories.

Rebeltech said they are going to have a clearance sale.

Many more to follow. Riots too. And looting and burning of shops. Then I expect Cele will go on tv and scowl and the Fried Chicken twins will show a PowerPoint slide banning all people.

I support the intentions behind the lockdown. Blame the Chinese or whoever started this coronavirus.

I sympathise with Rebel Tech, although I don't remember ever buying anything from them. I assume you were a consistent customer over the last 13 years.
Didn't "God" or evolution start the virus? Long before we evolved? Apparently there are a few thousand coronaviruses in bats around the world.

Exactly, also a healthy company does not go bust after one month of lockdown.

They haven't necessarily "gone bust". It might just be a savvy business decision not to throw good money after bad. Computer hardware retail is a low margin business - it's not going to be business as usual for a long time, and rather than burn through retained profits (or even recapitalise the business), it might make more sense just to move onto something else instead.

Also seen some small business owners say rather than rebuild here they will emigrate and start again on the other side, take a break, try something different, etc, etc.

Queue the typical entitled attitudes trying to get anything and everything for next to nothing

I'm taking same approach.
