Reccomend a 22" lcd

Hi there I am using a 19" Crt at the moment and looking to replace it with a 22" wide screen lcd but which make and model to get I mostly use my pc for gaming and watching movies ,I have about R5000 - 00 to spend any help would be appreciated .

As I've said in another thread, the Samsung 226BW looks good to me. Going for R3500 at IC.

Samsung 226BW. But if you go to buy one at IC let them take it out of the box and tell them you want to make sure it works then check on the panel and make sure it's the S panel. The monitor comes in 3 panel types S,A and C. S is the higher quality one.

Another one to look at is the BenQ 222w.

Difference between the 2 is the samsung has a slighly better response time and hdcp.

Do people realize that a 19" CRT is actually more like 17"?
The 'edges' are considered part of the 19".
My old 17" CRT was actually a flippin 15" viewable area.
LCD are always quoted by viewable area though, so it wont alter your purchasing decision.
